Music at St. James’
At St. James’, we have a strong tradition of worshiping God through our music. The choir serves as singing leaders for the congregation for hymns, psalms, and service music. Occasionally, we present our own choral anthem at the offertory or at other times during the service.

Instruments
Our congregational singing is accompanied by our pipe organ or piano. Various instruments, such as a harp, drum, guitar, trumpet, or recorder, may be heard as a solo or as an addition to our singing.
-
Choir Rehearsals
Choir rehearsal begins one hour before each service, whether it's on Sunday morning (9:30 a.m.) or for a special service, such as during Holy Week.

Sing With Us
It is helpful to have some experience in music, such as singing or playing an instrument, but anyone may speak with the choirmaster about joining our ministry of music.
